Haku Iwashi Whisky Barrel Aged Fish Sauce
Fish Sauce is a fundamental ingredient of many Asian cuisines. This Haku Fish sauce is delicate, subtle and refined, and master crafted following ancestral methods dating back almost 400 years. Using only Iwashi sardines (much bigger and fatter than its Mediterranean counterparts) from the Sea of Japan, it's first aged for 2 years before aging an additional 12 months in Japanese Whiskey barrels. The result is a more mellow, delicate flavor with an understated sweetness.
